Give your wheels, calipers and trim a finish that actually lasts. Powder coating is tougher than paint and holds up to New York winters, and we take the proper steps from stripping to curing so the color stays put.
Intricate parts like chrome emblems, plastic chrome grilles, certain trims and brake calipers get sanded down and painted. We use PPG Automotive paint and clear coat for the best quality and a long-lasting finish.
Powder Coating.
When customizing your vehicle, different parts need to be vinyl wrapped, painted or powder coated depending on their material. For metal surfaces such as wheels, exhaust tips, side steps and suspension components, powder coating is the best method.
The metal is sandblasted or chemically stripped, then an electric charge bonds the powder to the surface rather than any adhesive. The part is baked in an oven at high temperature to cure the finish. Powder coat is tougher than paint, but it cannot be used on most plastic parts.
Our Process.
Intricate parts like chrome emblems get sanded down, primed and painted, as do plastic chrome grilles and certain trims. We use PPG Automotive paint and clear coat for the best quality and a long-lasting finish.
For brake calipers we remove the rotors, pads and all the hardware, leaving only the caliper exposed and attached to the brake lines. With the whole car masked off, we prep the surface, prime, paint and clear coat the brakes for an OEM-like finish that lasts for years.
